Who sends the messages
Emberel, operated by Sounds & Sirens LLC, will send SMS from its dedicated number only after sender registration, controlled activation tests, and account opt-in are verified. Messages are personal captures and confirmations, reminders the account holder schedules, optional summaries the account holder enables, and account notices. Emberel does not send marketing blasts and does not message a number that has not completed the opt-in flow below.
How users opt in after activation
Emberel has one initial SMS opt-in path. The user must sign in to their own Emberel account, open Settings, enter their mobile number under Settings → Profile, and affirmatively check a separate consent box that is optional and unchecked by default. The box reads:
“I agree to receive recurring reminder, notification, and account texts from Emberel (a Sounds & Sirens LLC product) at this number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.”
The mobile number cannot be saved unless the user checks this box. Emberel records a consent timestamp tied to the account and mobile number. The control links directly to this SMS policy, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. A user may create and use an Emberel account without adding a phone number or consenting to SMS.
Public evidence of the protected opt-in screen
The real Settings page requires sign-in. The image below is a screenshot of the staged, production-intended Settings → Profile control. It shows the complete disclosure and the optional checkbox visibly unchecked. Although the campaign is approved, SMS remains disabled pending controlled activation tests, so this control is intentionally hidden on the current live Settings page. After controlled activation, this is the control that eligible test accounts will see; it is not being represented as currently active.
Number verification is not a second opt-in path
After saving the number with web consent, the account holder sends one text from that same number to Emberel. That signed inbound message verifies control of the number and may also contain their first capture. It is not a separate SMS or keyword opt-in: an unknown number, or a number that was not first saved through the checked web consent control, is not enrolled for recurring messages. Emberel does not purchase, rent, import, or share recipient lists.
No keyword-based initial enrollment
Emberel does not use an SMS keyword for initial opt-in, so the A2P campaign’s initial Opt-in keywords and Opt-in message fields are intentionally left blank. START, UNSTOP, and YES only restore SMS for a user who previously completed web consent and later opted out; they do not enroll a new number.
What we send and how often
Messages include confirmations for captures the user sends, reminders the user schedules, optional summaries the user enables, and account notices. Message frequency varies with each user’s settings and activity. Message and data rates may apply. Emberel does not send marketing blasts.
Representative production message formats include:
Opting out, opting back in, and getting help
Emberel uses Twilio Advanced Opt-Out. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe; the user receives a confirmation and no further Emberel messages are sent while opted out. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPTOUT are also honored. Reply START, UNSTOP, or YES to restore messaging after an opt-out. Reply HELP or INFO for help. Users can also remove their number in Settings or email support@emberel.com.
The Messaging Service is configured with these branded automatic responses:
